Do you know what you're getting when you book a day sail?

Some important questions you need to ask, the answers could make the difference between just an okay day sail, and a glorious day sail aboard Treazzure!

Is it more expensive to hire one daysail boat vs another?

Most of the day sail rates are pretty much in the same competitive ballpark. And while Treazzure which may look like a more expensive day sail hire, Captain "Hollywood" Joe actually offers extremely competitive rates and will not be undersold by a comparable day sail charter.

How much room is available for lounging and /or moving about the boat? Are you confined to one small section of the boat?

On many day sail boats you will be relegated to your 18" of space that must, by law, be provided. Aboard the 60' Treazzure, you are aboard the largest 6-10 passenger daysail boat in the Virgin Islands. There is an extremely comfortable seating area, with highly polished mahogany pull up tables that surround the food serving area up on deck. Dual, multi-person sized seating cushions forward on the main deck, can be used for lounging and listening to the music you enjoy from 5000 ipod tunes from any of the 1200 watt stereo speakers on and below deck, or spread the cushions out to take some sun. You can also stand in the thrilling "king of the world" postion on the bow of the boat. Or if you feel the need you can go below (see next question for more on below deck accommodations).

Are you allowed to go below deck? Why would you want to?

On many day sail boats you are not allowed below deck and if you are, it is only to use the head. Treazzure 's cabin below deck is absolutely accessible to you with many great very comfortable living quarters features that can help make your day sail adventure complete. (Why would you want to go below?) Perhaps to relax out of the sun, take an afternoon siesta, or sip a drink over conversation. With comfortable couch and seating, large flat screen tv (and hundreds of DVD movies should you for some reason want to watch one instead of the fish! or the spectacular scenery of the Virgin Islands), two full size heads, complete galley with breakfast nook seating area and cabins with bunks that you are welcome to use if you choose. All the treasures of Treazzure are yours to enjoy.

How much knowledge does your Captain have with respect to sailing the waters of the Virgin Islands, the islands' history and folklore, and tall tales?

Treazzure's Captain "Hollywood" Joe has had his Captains license and has been sailing the waters of the Virgin Islands for 30 years. His knowledge of the islands waters, history, folklore and tall tales will keep you enthralled and begging for more! Knowledge of the waters of the Virgin Islands will assure that you get to really great spots that may not be traveled by other day sail boats. Many new or first-timer Captains often have a set course that they follow regardless of weather/water conditions. We have gorgeous clearwater here in the Virgin Islands, but nature has a hand in stirring things up occasionally, like after a big storm perhaps, and you want your Captain to be able to chart a course for exceptional snorkeling.

Is there a fresh water shower to rinse off after being in the ocean? Do you know how much fresh water the boat carries for such use?

Treazzure has two fresh water showers on deck that you can use. There are 2 fresh water storage tanks,totaling 225 gallons.

How do you get on and off the boat for snorkeling, swimming or diving?

Trezzure has a dock ladder that extends 3 feet into the water for easy access on and off the boat.

What kind of snorkeling/swimming equipment is available aboard for your use, or do you have to bring your own equipment?

Treazzure has over 8 sets of the best snorkel equipment readily available so you do not have to worry about taking up valuable packing space by bringing your own. Noodles and fins are available for playtime in the water, and a kayak is also on board for a little exploring.

What kind of food is served - what size portions or quantities are offered?

Captain "Hollywood" Joe has trained and worked as a gourmet chef. You are welcomed aboard in the morning with fresh baked jumbo-sized muffins. Also in the morning there is a bountiful fresh fruit plate which includes, pineapple, grapes, bananas. Lunch is usually Jumbo-sized shrimp (approx. 1.5 lbs), and a Chicken Ceasar salad with warm slices of chicken just off Treazzure's deckside grill. Afternoon Snack Tray - after your first snorkeling of the day offers a variety of goodies:

Vegetable, meat, and cheese tray, dips, crackers, etc. etc. Open bar, assorted beers, soda and plenty of water to drink complete the day's offerings.
